Cyber Gaming

a.) I think that pursuing a career in the gamr industry is quite hard and challenging as it is not so popular here in singapore unlike japan. it is still new here as not much people pursue a career in the gaming industry in singapore.Not only this, being in the game industry , one must make sure that people will like to play the game created. They must also have ways to let gamers spent money buying game cards and such and not let everyone play for free. If not, they would not be able to earn so much money. They must also be careful of others that might copy their ideas and improve on it. Thus it is hard being in the gamming industry as there is many things to look out for.

b.) He is determined, does not give up easily and is willing to learn and work hard. Despite critise and bad views from his teacher, he was not discourage and did not gave up. Even with unsupportive parents, he still manage to go on pursuing his dreams and prove to everyone his ability. He was determined enough to go by all distractions and did not let any of them affect him, one important quality he has that allows him to success. He is also willing to learn new things and work hard for his company

In this lesson, we had learnt that in order for us to acheiveour goals, we have to be very focus on it, despite all the distraction around us. in the current society. the one distract most of the students is the net, mostly gaming. we must all know that the consequences of net accidition is very high. we could embrace wrong values thus having poor character, confusion with reality thus having poor outlook in life and ahve our precious time stolen thus having poorly developed skills. not only will we disapoint people that has high expectation from us, like our parents and teachers, we would also ruin our own future that only happens once in a lifetime.

there are still ways to overcome addiction: first thing first, do waht is necessary first. set goals, like using the computer only one hour per day. Get help from people around you like friends, parents and even teachers. lastly think about what you may lose. it is no hard to do all these as long as you are determined.

we could always rememba that virtual reality is not the actual reality. it could never replace your real life.

Session 4 - Cyber Bullying

"Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you." we don't agree on this....
Even though sticks and stones can break our bones but words can hurt us much much more. If we break our bones, we can still recover with medical help but words will cause mental destruction which might not ever recover.
however, cyber bully is more destructive then word bullying or physical bullying as it can occur 24 hrs ,we never knowwho that person is and we would feel very helpless. cyber bullies might think that it is fun but it could cause mantal destruction to the victim and the consequences are very bad....

In this lesson, we had learnt more about the internet, mostly about the informations it provides and its content.
Internet content is unregulated. We often see hate sites, fake sites and received chain mails, hoaxes and scams on the internet. These are all example of cyper crap. It is important to differentiate what is crap and what is correct on the internet. We had learnt that chain mails and such could bring fear to others and minght even bring harm to ourselves. Thus we should not foward it to others.
We has also learnt that using the internet for research , the information we gather night be false. We have to know how to determine whether the information we have is what we really wanted. And today, we had learnt some tips to know if the information we have is correct. We must make sure that the information provided in websites are consistent. They should tally with others similar websites. The information should not contain any biased views. It should have more facts and information. The website should also be updated.

In this lesson, i had learnt the importance of keeping our private imformation a secret online. We should not give anyone online any clues regarding our gender, age, name. We could do this by having nicknames that could be use for people of different gender, age, name. Thus, we could be safe from hackers and perverts. I had also learnt from the lesson how to differentiate the 2 levels of information which are public and private. Some information that does not allow others to know our identity are considered public imformation whereas informations that contain our personal info are private information. Pictures are considered private info as they contain our images, people would know how we look like. Thus we should not reveal pictures on the internet , to prevent people with bad motives like hackers or perverts from knowing us.

My neighbours are malays. They are camera-shy hence there is no picture of them. :( Even though we belong to different races, we are able to live together without being racist.Being in different races, had help us to adapt to the different tradition and the different things we do. We had also learn more about the malay race and what they do during days that are important to them.

Living with people of different races had allow us to gain more knowledge about them and enable us to show our respect to them. i treasure having neighbours like them. ^^
